You are arguing that the relatives of the rape/murder victim have to be convinced that the death penalty is not right! Why not look at it a bit differently, if you are capable of thinking? It should be the relatives' emotion that should guide us in deciding whether death penalty should be given or not. And, as in most cases, relatives of a murdered or raped person demand death penalty for the perpetrator(s), death penalty should stay.
